It is the medicinal compounds found in these particular mushrooms that really set them apart. Compounds such as triterpenoids, glycoproteins, natural antibiotics and enzymes that have such a remarkable effect on assisting our bodies to perform their functions optimally.
Research has shown that humans and fungi share much of the same DNA and protein structures, which we don’t with plants. Fungi, being one of the first organisms on this earth, have developed many anti-viral and anti-bacterial survival properties that have shown to be valuable in humans as we contract many of the same viruses.
Please head to our Ingredient Benefits page to see the benefits each of our mushrooms can provide and how they can help you.
Beta Glucans are polysaccharides found within the cell wall of fungi. They are a soluble fibre which attract water and then partially dissolve turning the liquid into a thick gel. Due to this thickening, when passing through the intestines, carbohydrates are absorbed slower making us feel fuller for longer. As food is digested slower, sugar isn’t absorbed as quickly, helping to maintain healthy blood sugar levels throughout the day.
Aside from helping our digestive system, Beta Glucans are also great for heart health, helping to improve cholesterol levels plus so much more.

The short answer is, our powders are considered premium full spectrum as we take the time to optimise the unique benefits from each stage of the mushroom life cycle and include them in our end product, increasing their value for you.
On the other hand, mushroom extracts do not include all of these benefits, due to the way they are processed, which means they often miss out on all of the amazing antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties from the extracellular compounds excreted throughout the different stages of the mushroom life cycle.

To produce our mushrooms, a solid, organic substrate* is needed for the initial fungal tissue, mycelium, to feed upon and grow. As the mycelium grows it digests and metabolises the original substrate, bio-converting it into fungal tissue. This is the fermentation process. Much like how yogurt is milk that has been fermented by the introduction of healthy bacteria and giving it time to ferment.
This phase of the mushroom life cycle is responsible for an array of enzymatic activity producing a wide range of beneficial bioactive compounds including prebiotic fibres, polysaccharides, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant peptides that support immune and gut health.

Find out more about our fermentation process here.
Mycelium needs something to feed on, a substrate*, to absorb its nutrients in order to grow. As it grows, it then bio-converts the substrate from its original form into fungal tissue. This is the fermentation phase. This converting stage can take time, sometimes months or longer, depending on the species, to fully bio convert so there is no substrate left.
Many mycelium products on the market will only ‘grow’ their mycelium for a couple of weeks or a month and then harvest, still containing much of the original substrate but allowing for higher output (of a lower quality product).
One of the most noteworthy parts in the production cycle of our mushrooms is that we can guarantee that our mycelium contains less than 5% of the original substrate. The mycelium is grown for as long as it takes to ensure that the mycelium has completely or almost completely bio converted so there is no residual substrate material in the finished product. This is also the phase when a excreted, containing antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties, to aid the mycelial growth which are also included in the final product.

Yes. Medicinal mushrooms are considered a prebiotic because of their polysaccharides. Polysaccharides are essentially a dietary fibre that feeds the good bacteria in your gut microbiome. Prebiotics also help support a healthy digestive system by fermenting bacteria in the gut to produce nutrients to be absorbed in your colon.
Prebiotics help give bacteria a boost to fermentation which can be stimulating to probiotics. Prebiotics and probiotics work together to promote healthy digestive systems. For example, Chitin, which is found in the cell walls of fungi, is a type of fibre that stimulates the growth of friendly bacteria in our gut to improve the function of microbiota in our intestines.
Collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies and can be found in our skin, connective tissues, bones, and tendons. However, our natural collagen production decreases as we age by roughly 1% each year once we reach our 20’s.
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) plays an active role in the production, synthesis and maintenance of collagen. It acts as a glue holding collagen fibres together. Vitamin C benefits our bodies in many ways such as hydrating the skin, helping it to look plump and healthy, alleviating joint pain, bone pain, and connective tissue pain, it can improve gut health, and it can strengthen hair and nails, plus way more. It is water soluble, meaning the body cannot store it. This is why we must consume Vitamin C daily.
We have selected Australia’s Kakadu Plum and Acerola Cherry for our formula as they are both revered for naturally containing an exorbitant amount of Vitamin C, some of the highest in the world. These fruits also contain several phytonutrients like carotenoids, phenolics, flavonoids, and anthocyanins which work synergistically in the body allowing for more efficient absorption and resulting in higher efficacy…better results!
Our raw materials have been sourced from reputable sources that have had their own Independent quality testing before they arrive at our manufacturer in Queensland, Australia. For example, our USA based mushroom supplier guarantees each species is:
- 100% DNA certified through independent testing
- 100% USDA certified organic
- 100% American grown in FDA registered biotech facility
We still wanted to have our own independent testing done here in Australia. We have had our products tested with one of Australia’s leading testing facilities just to confirm what we already knew. National Measurement Institute is a highly respected organisation whose standards are recognised internationally. We back our ingredients and want you to feel assured about what you are putting into your body.
Heat does not affect the efficacy of our product so it can be added to hot coffee, tea, hot water, soups, broths etc. Our formulation will contain the same bio availability either way.
As our formulations are whole food based, they don’t tend to stir as well into cold water as warmer liquids.
Our products are Gluten Free and Dairy Free.
Yes, our products are vegan friendly.
No. When formulating our product, our goal was to only include all naturally sourced ingredients. This is a harder task than it may seem as there are a lot of hidden fillers and synthetic ingredients on the market.
Many synthetic ingredients isolate the compound they are offering. We see this with a lot of vitamin supplements. This means that their co-enzymes are not included which help the compound perform more efficiently and effectively in your body.
Whole food supplements mean that all the enzymes, co-enzymes, anti-oxidants, activators and other beneficial compounds work together to ensure the bio-availability and potency of the supplements making it more easily absorbed by the body, using less energy, and increasing their value.
Consistency is key! So, you’ve forked out your hard-earned cash on this product and you want results. We want the same for you, which is why it is so important to incorporate them into your daily life.
Medicinal mushrooms have a cumulative effect in the body, which can take from 2 to 4 weeks to build up. These bio active compounds are helping your body to perform at their optimum so it can take a bit of time for it to adapt.
For example, our skin regenerates approximately every 28 days and that is roughly when you should notice the biggest difference in your skin.
Another example is Lion’s Mane Mushroom which stimulates the synthesis of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF). NGF is a protein that plays a major role in the maintenance, survival and regeneration of neurons in your brain. NGF is required to keep neurons strong and healthy, helping with mental clarity, memory and focus. Each person is individual as to when they feel such benefits, but this typically is noticed from the 3 week mark.
From then it’s bye bye brain fog!

Candida is a fungal infection caused by a type of yeast. Many mushrooms contain antifungal compounds that they use to fight off other fungi which compete with them in nature.
If you have Candida you should consult a health professional before introducing any supplement into your diet.
Pregnancy, especially, is such an individual experience. We suggest consulting your health professional before introducing any supplements into your diet while pregnant or breastfeeding.
