B Vitamins are essential for our health, and while we get them through our daily diets, they are water soluble vitamins so we are unable to store them in our body. Ergo, it’s essential to have an adequate intake every day. Thanks to a popular drink which is said to give you a bounce (!), B Vitamins are well known for assisting in reducing stress and fatigue as well as boosting mood. While not a cure for mental health issues, B Vitamins can also help to improve symptoms of mild depression or anxiety.

Health Benefits of B Vitamins

While B Vitamins share similar characteristics they each have unique functions too:

    • B1 (thiamine): Thiamine plays a key role in our metabolism by helping our bodies to convert nutrients to energy.
    • B2 (riboflavin): Like thiamine, riboflavin also helps to convert food into energy and also acts as an antioxidant.
    • B3 (niacin): Niacin plays an important role in our body, being involved in our metabolic, cellular signalling and DNA production and repair processes.
    • B5 (pantothenic acid): Panthothenic acid helps your body to convert the energy from food, like other B vitamins, as well as assisting in hormone and cholesterol production.
    • B6 (pyridoxine): Pyridoxine is involved in the metabolism of amino acids as well as the production of red blood cells and neutron-transmitters.
    • B7 (biotin): Biotin is essential to our bodies in helping to metabolise carbohydrates and fats as well as regulating gene expression.
    • B9 (folate): Like pyridoxine, folate assists in amino acid metabolism, as well as promoting cell growth and the formation of red and white blood cells.
    • B12 (cobalamin): Vitamin B12 is a well known B vitamin and it’s essential for a lot of vital processes in our bodies including DNA production, red blood cell development and neurological function.

Benefits of Natural B Vitamins

In our formulations we used natural, plant based and complete B Vitamins from organically grown Quinoa sprouts, versus the use of synthetic vitamins which can sometimes be found in other products. In our view natural is always best and the use of organic and natural B Vitamins means they are biologically active and readily available for absorption into our bodies, as well as containing beneficial coenzymes. Compared to synthetic B Vitamins, the ones we use are longer acting, to ensure you get the most benefit.
